After escaping immediate arrest (but attracting a lot more attention to us in general, its a good bet that they are after us now) we make our way to a sketchier part of town, we rent out a room in a tavern to sleep for the night.
We sleep in same room, settle in for night -> I notice a yellow canary outside
We awake in a collective dream
Strange dark figure appears, calls out to Thad, asks about his “Blood” (the goop?). Strange dark hands start climbing up the room, reaching towards us. Another figure enters, looks at us, sees each of us, in a weird, unsettling way. We are noticed … we are marked. The new figure says “found you” and we wake up with a start.
We awake back in the room
Steve and Cinder notice a tall, dark, menacing figure, standing above us. This figure has a pitch black hand with tendrils spreading up the arm. He has somehow no defining characteristics, he is faceless, distinctly unremarkable in every way, apart from the overwhelming feeling that he means harm. The room suddenly goes dark. Fight begins
The figure seems to be targeting Steve and Thad (Thad especially). Thad is hit with a spell that is turning him to stone slowly though his arm. Steve almost kills us all with fire. Dave turns into lion and frightens one of the figures. Another dark figure emerges from the darkness on the floor. Twank notices and waves at the yellow canary, he seems chill, says “Hey! I’m here to make sure you guys don’t die”, then suddenly a man awkwardly falls into the broken window.
